What we Still Don’t Know

what we still dont knowThe Universe is still a place of mystery and wonder. As a cosmologist, I am exhilarated that we can make some progress towards tackling what seem very fundamental questions.

These programs focus on: Was there a beginning? Whether we are alone? What’s the future of the cosmos?

What is the nature of reality? With each advance, new questions come into sharper focus. The key issue is what we still don’t know.

Are We Alone?

Sir Martin explores the possibility that life exists on planets beyond our own. He unveils an unsettling scientific debate that has startling consequences for us Earthlings. Do you believe in aliens? If not, a quick glance through these pages might change your mind!

Why Are We Here?

Everything you thought you knew about the universe is wrong. It’s made of atoms, right? Wrong. Atoms only account for a measly 15% of everything that exists. The mass of the universe consists of something so mysterious and elusive that it has been dubbed ‘dark matter’.

Are We Real?

There is a fundamental chasm in our understanding of ourselves, the universe, and everything. To solve this, Sir Martin takes us on a mind-boggling journey through multiple universes to post-biological life. On the way we learn of the disturbing possibility that we could be the product of someone else’s experiment.

dear sir martin. i am the begining, i am the end, i am that, i am. or i was never born, i will never die, i have always been and will always be here in one form or another, i am atom, i am dark matter, i am wave-form, i am partical, i am the evolving answer to the ultimate question, what am i,? i am everything, i am accelerating until i am light, then this infinite bubble goes pop and its essence becomes a new question, what am i this time,? i am a new universe, i am infinite, i am eternal, i am forever. i live, i talk, i walk, i love, i hate, i sing, i dance, i cry, i laugh, i enjoy, i hurt, i am experiencing i am. as many wise people have said, we must look within to find the truth, to find the answers. impirical evidence, micro-scope, telescope, prove nothing.

  • Nice post. I learn something totally new and challenging on blogs I stumbleupon every day. It’s always exciting to read articles from other writers and practice a little something from their web sites.

  • I agree with Sir martin that we still don't know about many facts or we know but we don't agree. We think that we passed with every fact of truth of god's creation all around us by our scientific researches and technology…blah blah. But i think 'NO' we still don't know number of things…like about human brain, about our universe, about the starts and about the other life exist there…do aliens really exist ?? The answer is we're not sure because we don't know !! There are many questions that we still have with a question mark..and yes we have to find their answers.
